Sancti Stulti is operated by Stephen Andrew Weller (hereafter "Sancti Stulti") and hosted on the Substack platform (the "technology provider" or "Substack"). By using this website, reading its blog, accessing the newsletter you subscribed to, or engaging with any associated services from Sancti Stulti, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of Sancti Stulti immediately.

By accessing Sancti Stulti, you acknowledge and accept these Terms of Use, constituting a legally binding agreement between you and Sancti Stulti. No other terms, verbal or written, shall apply.

Sancti Stulti is a missionary and theological blog containing various types of content, including:

• Translations of public-domain works from Latin or German into English.

• Personal reflections and commentary on religious, philosophical, and cultural matters.

Intellectual Property Protection:

• All original content, including prayers, essays, and sermons, is the exclusive property of Stephen Andrew Weller. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or adaptation of this content is strictly prohibited.

• The translation work published on Sancti Stulti is derived from public-domain texts. While the source material may be free to use, the specific translations provided here are intellectual property of Stephen Andrew Weller. They may not be copied, modified, redistributed, or commercially exploited without explicit written permission.

• Any attempt to translate, adapt, or republish Sancti Stulti content in other languages without prior authorization is prohibited.

All sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or credits will be provided for:

• Subscriptions to Sancti Stulti, including newsletter access and digital content.

• Any other services offered by Sancti Stulti, except where required by applicable law.

Chargebacks are prohibited, and any disputes may result in account termination or legal action.

6. Disclaimer of Liability & Liability Cap

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sancti Stulti disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of its content. Content is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or suitability for a particular purpose.

If liability is found, it shall not exceed the total fees paid by the claimant in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by German law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Freiburg, Germany. However, where applicable, U.S. law may also apply to certain matters concerning Stephen Andrew Weller’s status as a U.S. citizen.

9. Modification of Terms

Sancti Stulti reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
