traditional in principle, liberal in practice
sundry thoughts clarifying my ideological homelessness, and on the only possible home.

I am Traditional in principle but hate Traditionalism in practice.
I am Liberal in practice but hate Liberalism in principle.
Because I love: a Tradition that only exists in principle when it is creative in practice.
And: a Liberality that can only exist in practice when one is strict in principle.
For´Tradition´ without liberality in practice is ossified, and ´liberality´ without tradition in thought is blind.
I revere Nature in principle and Life in practice.
Marx says: Material Order cultivates a Nature in principle.
A Nature is a Potency to Act towards an End in principle.
An End actualized in a Synthesis of Thought and Action in practice.
Liberality perfects Nature in principle when it is focusing Thought on determining Action in practice.
Because Liberality is towards an End in principle, it is for Another in practice.
Making the Real, Ideal in principle by making the Ideal, Real in practice.
Liberalism opposes Nature in principle when it is restricting Thought from determining Action in practice.
Because Liberalism is not towards an End in principle, Liberalism is for “Everyone” in practice.
Mistaking the Ideal as “Real” in principle, Making the “Real,” Ideal in practice.
What End could a Material Order impose in practice, to cultivate Nature in principle?
Hölderlin says Life: “to Live is to defend a Form” in practice.
Life is Sentient Temporal Continuity in principle, Life is Teleologically Oriented Interiority in practice.
And Time is Absolute in principle, Relative to Matter in Practice.
Life is Cyclical Continuity Relative to Creation in Principle, Spiraling Interiority in Creation, Relative to Eternal Matter in Practice.
And Matter is relative to Form in Principle, but Form is perfected by Matter in Practice.
Real Form is recognized in Past Action in principle, but recollected in Present Action in practice.
Ideal Form is abstracted from Past Action in principle, and applied to Present Action in practice.
Because the Past is Real and the Present is Ideal in principle. And the Present is Real and the Past Ideal in practice.
A Tradition serves Life when it both thinks forward in principle [generalizing from real past to ideal application in the present] and acts ‘backward’ in practice [making this ideal past principle real in the present, i.e. in act].
Making the Real, Ideal in principle by making the Ideal, Real in practice.
Traditionalism denies Life when it tries to think backward in principle [projecting ideal lack in the present onto “real” past], and tries to go backward in practice [seeking to make the “real” past ideally present].
Mistaking the Ideal as “Real” in principle, and making the “Real,” Ideal in practice.
Is there an Eternal Matter relative to which we Spiral in practice? Is there a teleological Form to help us synthesize thought and action in principle?
I say: Tradition in principle and Liberality in practice.
A Living Tradition in practice gives Form to Liberality in principle.
And Liberality in practice cultivates the Nature of Tradition in principle.
A Real Synthesis recollected in the Matter of Pure Hearts in principle.
Duplicating the Form of Charity recognized in Another in practice.
Life is defended by the Unity of Pure Hearts in principle.
A Material Order cultivating a Nature in practice;
Making the Real, Ideal in principle by making the Ideal, Real in practice.
A Synthesis: of Form and Matter in principle, of Thought and Action in practice.
Life defending a Form in principle, Matter cultivating a Nature in practice.
The Unity of Tradition and Liberty in principle.
The Charity of Pure Hearts in practice.

Excellent! Well done!
