Index: 8 Day\Five Wounds\Divine Mercy Pilgrim Retreat
Index of Contents for the Retreat
The focus of the Pilgrimage, which first took place in Advent of 2024 going from Padua to Assisi, is learning to pray the divine mercy chaplet as and examination of conscience and meditation on the 5 wounds by way of the 7 virutes. This method of praying is covered HERE:
Day 1 of the Retreat Treats the Spiritual Organism as a whole, so Intellect, Will, and Heart.
Day 2: Treats the Principles of the Intellect, Will, and Heart. Also the Virtue of Prudence.
Day 3: Treats Hylomorphism and the Virtue of Justice.
Day 4 Treats The Concupiscible and Irascible Appetite and the virtue of Temperance.
Day 5 Treats Aquired and Infused Virtue and the Virtue of Fortitude.
Day 6 Treats The Three Societies and the Virtue of Faith.
Day 7 Treats the Sense\Intellect, Rational Will and the Virtue of Hope.
Day 8 Treats Objects of Intellect and Will and the Virtue of Charity
I may write more about the stories of the retreat at some other time, but all I can say is that it came to a perfect end. Siegfried had to leave Assisi on Saturday morning for Rome and we had only a short time after breakfast together. He hadn´t yet visited the Basilica to St Claire and so we went there, I forgot the real cross of San Damiano was there, the one that spoke to St Francis. And with 15 minutes to spare, I suggested we make the examen there. So we went through the divine mercy chaplet entirely, with all the seven virtues according to the method we were practicing and filling out each day on the retreat, while gazing on the crucifix of San Damiano and the 5 wounds of Our Lord, It was a perfect and powerful ending to the retreat, I prayed a prayer of thanksgiving and we went our separate ways.
