HIRING: Editor for Sancti Stulti

Position: Editor\Manager of Sancti Stulti Blog

Responsibilities (Could be separate positions or all-together)

1. Edits Posts for Substack

2. Publishes Posts\Curates Blog (Blog Manager)

3. Edits Book Chapters for a specific Book, which will then be published on Substack, and Prepares Texts for On-Demand Publishing.

Time Commitment

1. Edit and Publish Posts (~1hr\wk)

2. One monthly 30min Conversation.

3. One quarterly 60min Conversation.

Pay

1. Substack (Editor and\or Manager)

   1. The starting salary is 50\50 of all earned income on Sancti Stulti and buy-me-a-coffee, paid once each month. This would currently be ~50$\month.

   2. If I hit at or above 15% growth in overall subscribers for a given month, relative to the number at the end of the previous month, OR if I hit 15% growth in revenue from paid subscribers for a given month relative to aggregate income from the previous month (incl buy me a coffee), you get 100% of the profits for that month, so ~$115\month.

   3. If I hit at or over 10% growth for the same, you get 90% of the profits for that month.

   4. If I hit 5% growth, you get 70% of profits for that month.

   5. If I hit 20% growth, you get 120% of profits for that month in terms of extending the final 20% as a claim on future earnings.

2. Books (Optional\Could be an Entirely Separate Position)

   1. The Editor/Manger takes 100% of the profits of any books or devotional materials developed and published by her\him alone from my writing and then sold separately until costs of labor are recovered at 40$\hr.

   2. If the book does not recover labor costs, this deficit may be applied to other books published by the editor.

   3. Profits from books thereafter are split 50\50 until Editor/Manager earns 100,000$ on any given book or item.

   4. After the Editor\Manager has recovered wages for his\her labor plus 100,000$, I take 100% of profit.

Development:

I was trained in academic editing\rhetoric in the Writing Center at the University of Chicago and would happy to take time to train the right person in the methods I learned there.

Experience:

None required. Looking for someone who is (1) excited about this opportunity and (2) generally interested in the sorts of things I like to write about. Some background knowledge in philosophy or theology would be a plus but not at all necessary.

Benefits (optional):

All expenses paid (not including airfair) 7-14 day guided experiment in sanctimonious vagrancy in Spain (summer) or Italy (winter).

Here is the current growth of Sancti Stulti (~45$/mo), dasoloapiedi (~35/mo), and the 90 day income of my buy-me-a-coffee (~40/mo). Someone could get a good hourly wage editing especially if the growth keeps up.
